Arepas De Lyna
About This Spot
Stepping into Arepas De Lyna feels like slipping into a warm embrace of Venezuelan tradition nestled in the heart of Prague’s Vinohrady. This family-run spot is more than just a restaurant—it’s a pause in the city’s rhythm where genuine hospitality meets the simple joy of sharing food rooted in home recipes and rich cultural threads. The space itself welcomes you with an inviting coziness, where soft laughter and the clinking of glasses quietly underscore the experience, forging a comfortable atmosphere that feels relaxed yet full of character.
Here, time seems to slow down just enough to savor the rich, comforting flavors of a cuisine that balances hearty and wholesome with fresh and vibrant. The aroma of freshly grilled cornmeal pastries, lovingly crafted arepas, mingles with the subtle sweetness of cachapas, inviting you on a sensory journey that’s as much about stories and memories as it is about taste. Each dish carries a thoughtful sense of place—whether it’s the hand-pulled chicken nestling in a peppery, creamy embrace or the lively, textured fillings that celebrate both tradition and homegrown flavors.
What makes Arepas De Lyna special isn’t simply the food, but the gentle mood that relaxes around the table. The staff’s warmth and attentiveness create a feeling akin to sharing a meal in a friend’s home, a place where strangers effortlessly turn into familiar faces. It’s a gathering spot where the music and chatter lift the spirit, making it clear that this isn’t just about eating—it’s about belonging.
Whether it’s a quiet moment with a thoughtfully brewed café con leche or a lively evening where Venezuelan tunes inspire spontaneous dance, Arepas De Lyna offers a thoughtful kind of hospitality that sinks deep—an unhurried invitation to explore new flavors while feeling quietly at home in a bustling city.

This little “gem” in Vinohrady (Prague 3) was recommended by a Peruvian friend here in Prague, and well, this place is Rocking it. So let’s get to it. The food. A menu selection that doesn’t overwhelm, rather, invites you on a safe and happy journey to flavours and experiences that will leave you (I’m my opinion) very satisfied. As for the desert selection, well, that’s for our next visit. :) Have a pleasant day. You’ve been warned.

This was a great find. A wonderful taste of Venezuela in Prague. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and excellent service. The place is well decorated, the food was excellent. I had soup, an arepa, and a delicious tres leches dessert. Gracias!

Randomly went in on a cold december night. Found a place with great food, lovely people and lovely atmosphere, the staff created a real family feeling and a great party with music and dance. Absolutely amazing experience!

First time trying Venezuelan cuisine, we had the cachapa and arepa. I really like the cachapas, the sweet-corn pancake balances the savoury fillings Fried plantain adds a subtle sweetness to the dish The carne meads (shredded beef) is nothing like the Mexican ones. The pollo picante (shredded chicken) is quite light and creamy Staffs were friendly and it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere

I’ve been visiting for years and the food never disappoints! So flavorful and fresh. One of m favorites in Prague. The owner is very friendly and always tries the best to make us comfortable The interior is cozy and authentic I just wish it was bigger but that is also one of the restaurant’s charm.

Absolutely wonderful experience. The food is authentic and full of flavor. The service was just as impressive: friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. At one point, our waiter even started playing a percussion box, which brought such a fun and lively atmosphere to the place. It felt personal, joyful, and real. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something truly authentic in Prague.

The owner was fabulous and made space for us without a reservation. The sangria was delicious as were the vegetarian bean bowls. Tres leches and churros were to die far ant the dinner was topped of with some fun pictures and costumes. The vibe was casual with indoor and outdoor seating. A great find.

Absolutely wonderful. Cozy, good food, friendly people. We were visiting this part of town and decided to do a pause on Czech food and what a great decision. A little piece of Venezuela at a good price.
